Still alive and will blog again

Been away for a while now and many things has happened since. Moving out from US, experienced the real winter of Sweden and Norway (for a tropical girl like me, it's quite something), enjoying the warm beach of Bali and wandering about the market in Ubud with my mum and my sister, catching up with my old colleague and bff (while working in DC) watching the sunset in Jimbaran, visiting the carved rock of Gunung Kawi, lunch at my favorite spot of Padang Bai and of course, never ending chatting along the way, walking through the clubs in Kuta and seeing the Opera House of Sydney and settling in this beautiful part of Australia with my husband.

I really mean it when I said beautiful. Lots of national parks and beaches to spend the weekend. I have been dreaming of living near the beach for a long time. Well at least since I left Lombok 9 years ago, and voala! Here we are now, only one hour away from Gold Coast and Noosa beach and not to mention nearby beaches which is only 15 minutes driving from where we live. And the best about this place is its mildly winter, no more snow, no more boots and the armors of heavy clothes but I do miss the autumn. Those scenic drives in Shenandoah will stay forever in my mind. And of course the hardest part is leaving those friends behind, the people we have spent our past four years with.

In my future posts I am going to include non Indonesian food as well, but of course with modification to cater to my Indonesian taste. Do you know what that means?  Exactly! lot of spices and chili :)

Cheers!
