Lontong (Rice boiled in banana leaves)

Last week, I made some lontong with veggies curry with tauco. Here is how to make lontong:



Ingredients:

2 cups of rice, washed and rinsed off
banana leaves, wipe with tissue or cloth
tooth picks
water

Directions:

1. Rolled the leaves with 4-5 cm diameter
2. Tied one end with the tooth pick
3. Fill in the rice half of the rolls; then tied the other end.
4. Boiled it in water for 3 hours

I usually served the lontong with chicken/ beef satay, gado-gado or with some curries including young jack fruit curry and boiled eggs, green veggies with tauco. How do you serve yours?
